Bioinformatics Centre, The University of Kashmir
Bioinformatics Centre,The University of Kashmir has been setup in 2000
to deal with the following seven problem areas viz:
Communication among people and Institutions engaged in the
Biological research and applications. The communication may include
e-mail, file transfer, remote login, etc.
Access,search and retrieval of Biological information, documents and
literature.
Handling and management of Biological data, including its organization,
analysis etc.
Analysis and interpretation of Biological data through computational
approaches including mathematical modeling for complex biological
structures.
Human resource development in Bioinformatics.
Development of databases in the field of Biological Sciences.
Organizing workshops, Training courses and Symposiums to impart
training to researchers and students in the field of Computer and
Biosciences.
